How to update the PDM taskpane after changing the status or file check-in or save as new file?

Are you talking about the SOLIDOWRKS PDM Add-in?

Yes. After saving as a new file its status in the PDM taskpane remains light gray. So you can’t retrieve its datacard unless you force a manual refresh in the PDM taskpane.

I don’t think it is possible BUT:

  • You can reload the add-in. It’s very inefficient.
  • Use Microsoft UI automation to click the refresh button in the taskpane.
