How to add a button to the top menu via the API

Is is possible to add a button to the top row from the API, like it added this macro button at the right?

I don’t know how this menu is called, which makes it harder to search the docs

Nope, I don’t think so.

I think that’s the right answer. I’ll stick with a command manager tab and Tools menu item.

My memory is a bit hazy but I think @artem was able to do something like that with the registry keys.

He will probably point to the cs file in his answer!

I am not sure if this will work, but I would check this method: DragToolbarButton Method (ISldWorks) - 2017 - SOLIDWORKS API Help

Perhaps one of the enumerations in the swToolbar_e has this location (perhaps Main?). But I have not done it before so it might not work.

Thanks, I’ll check it out!

Nope, couldn’t get the DragToolbarButton to work.
